I worked today until 4:30 or so. As I write this, it's raining hard in my Boston suburb. The weather forced me to my winter lounge, an old Adirondack chair in my garage. The garage door was up so I could watch the wind-blown rain sweeping red and yellow leaves onto my front yard. I nubbed an Oliva V torp while sipping a Tanquerey Rangpur martini. That's a stick that's been added to my short list of NC favorites.
The Sox are up 2-0 in the World Series, the Patriots are undefeated, Vegas oddsmakers have the Celtics the pre-season favorite to win the division, and if Ohio State loses tonite, the Boston College Eagles will be the #1 team in the country. Oh ... and the Bruins are on a streak.
Life is good.
By the way ... the V on the Oliva serie V: is it the letter V or the Roman numeral 5?

Had to drive over to Birmingham this morning for a meeting... So I had one of my favorite small cigars [La Escepcion Series V 2004] on the way over; then, after lunch, a CAO extreme cigarillo...probably done for the night...too tired...

After a somewhat rustic dinner consisting of some chili, good hearty wheat bread and Sam Adam's Octoberfest...I enjoyed a Montecristo Media Noche Edmundo. Quite a nice combo all together actually.

I had a Habanos Torres #2, hand rolled is a small cigar shop in Mesa AZ. It had a near perfect draw (just a tad looser than I like) an even burn and tons of smoke. The flavor reminded me a lot of an AF Hemmingway Signature. I may have to have my brother send me some more.
had a Don Thomas clasico presidente tonight (natural) good contruction and even burn, but i wasn't terribly impressed with the flavor and draw. still trying to get through all the NC top 25 of '06
