Any recommendations on trustworthly shops in the vacinity of Arlington, MA? I'm certainly ready to drive a few more miles to Boston.
I'm heading to down for the weekend and am anxious to pick up cheap non-cubans. The selection here is not great as most shops stock up on Cubans. When I say cheap, that's relative to the exagerated prices in Montreal. I'm not complaining, as the taxes pay for our medicare, but I won't pay up what their asking!
I'm interested in the following brands of cigars:
CAO Italia, Brazil, MX2 Camacho SLR Indian Tabac / Rocky Patel Fuente OpusX
Any other recommendations are welcome as I'm more accustomed to smoking those cubans...get them cheap from Cuba...life is rough!
Tufts Tobacco East= Boston & medford Pleasant Smoke shop Malden Marks- Wakefield Abc Revere Watch City - Framingham
In New Hampshire I'd suggest Two Guys in Salem, a huge humi and 5 star selection in shop.

Alan, thanks for guiding me to Castro's Backroom. Loved the shop and trip paid for itself.
Picked up 15 assorted brands & sizes to sample. Total cost $100 ($125cdn). Can't really compare prices as I can't find most of them but from the price of other NonCC's in Mtl, I saved over $150 (200cdn).
Here's my list (excuse my limited cigar vocabulary, I'm still learning)
Africa Robosto La Flor Dominicana Robosto (2) La Flor Dominicana Corona La Gloria Cubana Robosto (+50 ring guage and longer than most robostos - could it be a Double?) Olivia O Pyramid Ashton VSG Pyramid Ashtom VSG Bullet (short) Camacho Pyramid (2) (love those Camacho's) Camacho 5/7? (odd shape) Savinelli Pyramid Rocky Patel Pyramid Cuesta-Rey Belicoso No.11
I'm heading to Big Smoke in Atl City next weekend and then through NYC on the way back. I plan to get me some more NonCC's.
Bruno, glad to have been of assistance. Eric keeps a well stocked shop, well 3 of them.
I'm actually planning a road trip to Nova Scotia this summer, if you know of any reputable shops in the area, please feel free to make a recomendation.

I live in Halifax...actually Dartmouth (across the harbour). Jon Alans Cigar Emporium is really good, but his selection is limited. There is one other cigar shop down on the harbour front in Halifax. I believe it's called "Smoke on the Water". I will find out for you if you want.
Cheers

Wade, we're planning to take the cat over and spending a week in prospect bay area. Which, if I recall is not far from Halifax. Maybe when I know what my time frame is, we can get together for a cigar.
Any and all information would be appreciated.

Yes that would be great Alan! I will do some legwork and find out about that shop in Halifax. From what I gather it has a pretty open concept. The rumour is that the owner allows people to come in to buy a few cigars and smoke them there...and allows people to brieng thier booze and enjoy the atmosphere. I have a Monte Cristo (Cuban) here for you if you want.
Cheers
