Say, I noticed you are a rum drinker like me. What are your favorites? I really like the HC reserve and the 7 year. Zaya is a great rum and pyrat blanco. Ever had Ron Anejo Anniversario? Its really good too. I like a shot of rum to sip between puffs. Take it plain.

Ya love the rum. Usualy i drink Ron Matusalem 10 Yr Old Clasico. If you havent heard about it check it out. Best rum i have ever had. Its made in the dominican republic.
The Matusalem family story is much the same as many cigar family's. (left cuba for exidus in DR after the revolucion) They still use the original cuban recipe and they also make a 15 year old rum thats not quite as tasty. Too much oak for my taste.

I used to drink Havana club 7 year but moved on to the Matusalem.

I have never had ron anniversario, have actualy never seen it. Ill keep my eyes open for it though. I sip my rum streight too. I went out and bought myself a nice spigleau (sp) cognac glass for my rum. If you dont use one give it a try it inhances the spirit hugely.

I got a cool wine tasting glass that has an area in the stem that holds liquid too. But I kind of have a lot of different little glasses I use.
If you get a chance, try the Pyrat Blanco. It has a bit of a vanilla touch to it, but it is really superb and not very expensive. I've tried the Matsulem but like the Pyrat and the Zaya better. If you can find either, try them, they aren't super premium priced at all. Maybe 18.00 U.S. for the Pyrat and 28 for the Zaya.

Im not to big on white rum. Is the Zaya blanco too??

Have you tryed the premium appleton stuff?? In febuary I went to a lunch confrence with the master blender. Well i didnt go with him, he was putting on a tasting of all his rums. It was realy fun, we learned alot about how the sugar cane is harvested and bla bla bla turned into rum.
Im not a huge fan of most of the appletons stuff but there XO is realy nice.

No, the Zaya is medium dark and aged. Wonderful stuff. I had it at the top of my list until I tasted some HC 7, I like the way the HC kind of explodes in my mouth. Not refined or smooth, but I like it.

Oh, forgot. No, I have never tried any of the appleton stuff. You think the XO is good, huh?
If you didn't see my post awhile ago, don't buy the Pyrat XO, the stuff is horrible.

I have also seen a mount gay aged rum in the liqor stores, i keep meaning to pick up a bottle and try it out but havent yet. have you tryed it? i enjoy the mt. gay amber for mixed drinks.

Now, Dre. I have honored your request to not make any more remarks about nose hair and you bring it up!!!! I was going to see if I could trade you a magnum nose hair clipper and hedge shear for a bottle of HC. I think they have them at the hardware store. You just watch. You get up and look in the mirror and see this hair in your nose. You'll pull on it and discover its attached. Then the hair will start growing on your ears and your shoulders. I remember what you said about your dad. You might have to start combing your arms.

Hey where do you get your HC from anyway?? do you have to go down to mexico or do you have some sneaky agent that you buy it off of. I hope im not out of my league asking about your souces. If you have a hard time getting it ill send you some in exchange for some good tequila. The price of tequila is outragious up here.
