Thanks to our troops for keeping this country great.

And I agree that stand up guys are very hard to come by anywhere in politics!

It is clear by your post we see the same man completely differently. Perhaps in your mind it is not a Republican or Democrat thing and you would attack whoever took us to war but I doubt that. I guess it is only fair to say just because someone is against a war in which they do not believe in does not make that any less of a just war.
Respecting both sides is the only way to bridge the gap. This thread was about a speech and you attacked the man. So the gap lives on…

Bush didn't take us to war. He acknowledged a war we were already in and decided to WIN it. The happy go lucky Bubba good times folk will NEVER get it.

Losers and whiners. Thank God for the voluntary army that DOES know what's at stake and DIDN'T draft them. And thank God for W, the right man at the right time, who DOES understand squandering, ingrate liberals and decided NOT to govern by poll like BJ Bubba. Losers will just have to wait for Shrillery to bring back the good old head-in-the-sand, cigar-in the-bimbo days. DO hold your breath!

This post was cigar related.

Bush is great, I love him, he made our world soooo much safer. He is a great guy, statesman and economist. more power to him, may he wage many more wars and may he kill many more innocent people.

Obviously well rehearsed.

Its nice to see that war makes some people happy.

It's sad to see some people can't.

War is ugly...but sometimes it is necessary. Roll Eyes

Some people would like to make-believe that "bullies" do not exist.

You think war makes me happy, goat? You think I was HAPPY to go to Viet Nam leaving my friends and family behind and very possibly dying over there?

No goat, war doesn't make me happy. The difference between me and you is simple. I KNOW the enemy needs to be countered and you DON'T. From Nazis to Communists to terrorists, all have enjoyed the likes of you whining about war with them. Enjoy your freedom to bad-mouth the people who confront our would-be conquerors. And I'll enjoy the fact that a good man will still be president for the next two years at least. Live with it loser.

I think all of us agree -- I just wonder whether selective strikes would have been a better solution than occupying an entire country. We have friends in the middle east, so it's not like we needed Iraq as a friendly base from which to launch targeted missions. Here's my reasoning: selective attacks stir up trouble for a few weeks and cost much less money and fewer lives; this occupation is on Al Jazeera every freakin' day.

Where 'ya at in the Poconos, 'oz? I'm probably not too far -- a bunch of us should get together and disagree about cigars someday since we usually get all the political stuff out of our systems right here.

You are absolutely right!! I'm sure you will like my quote from Reagan too!!

Some people go their whole life wondering if they ever made a difference. Marines don’t have that problem.

Just outside of Scranton. Ain't no way I'm bigger than you but maybe I type real huge. Check www.citytobacco.com if you're ever gonna be in Scranton/W-B area...the store does cigars dinners every month or so, trips to the Big Smoke, etc. The more the merrier.
