When seeing a stranger on the street smoking a cigar, look at the band to see what their smoking.
I am guilty.

Being in a tourist town, if I did that, I'd have time for nothing else.

Guilty, plus I look at the bands when someone is smoking a cigar in a movie or TV show.

I always do and try to start a conversation. But usually they look at me like I am crazy or something?

I always do this also. It always turns out to be a red dot cohiba.

I live in the People's Republic of Maryland, there is no one smoking in the streets here.

But plenty of grown adults wearing helmets as they ride bikes around at 5mph.

Wow... Wearing a helmet may look dumb, but they do save lives. Wow...

And aside from that, I always take a look. I once asked a brutha what he was smoking, his stick didnt have a band, and it turns out he was smoking a philly. I felt like a dumb@$$ after I thought maybe the guy had some some class

did it once and seen a Gurkha band. He either thought I was a cigar snob or an a$$hole when I made a YUK face and comment. My guess is the latter.

"Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Cuba. The wrapper would be from Cuba. The binder leaves would be from Nicaragua. For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. That Cigar, he says with pride, would score 100 points."
