It is on the keyboard. Just go to tools, options, errrr, something like that. I haven't written much German since college 45 years ago.

Start/Run and type 'charmap' and you can choose from all the various character sets, put in trademark marks, etc. I'll try it höre but it may not translate to the web correctly.® Ah, looks okay.

Hold ALT and use NUM LOCK then type: 0214 = Ö 0203 = Ë 0207 = Ï 0220 = Ü 0228= ä 0246 = ö 0252 = ü 0239 = ï 0255 = ÿ 0235 = ë
