I was not referring to Presley.

Which leaves us with the only choice: you were directing it at Obama. Which is still not very classy coming from the great Doc.

But I be can forgivable when I see some humidor photos!! Big Grin

Well look at it this way Lucky. Presley is just a guy on a forum board that is posting a topic. Doc could call that guy a Freakin Idiot, which would be rude and extremely classless. Doc could refer to the topic he posted which was Obama and called Obama a Freakin Idiot. Obama could be a future president, and he is saying things that he is going to do and Doc doesnt agree with him. Doc can voice his opinion about Obama whenever Obama is talking about country affairs, and those could effect Doc's life. So therefore I believe that Doc can call Obama anything he wants if the things Obama wants to do with our country has an effect on Doc's life.

Sheepshead Bay is one of these typical conservatives. He says America is so great because we have freedom, but if any American disagreeswith one of our current administrations policies, he tells them to leave the country, LMAO. One of the funniest things I read in this thread (and it is full of hilarious nonsense from the right wing) is the entire "we are bringing democracy to Iraq" theory. Actually, we brought chaos and civil war to Iraq. And those slamming Obama, I really have to laugh at. They obviously are BUSH supporters, the President with the lowest approval ratings in history, and the guy who got this country into the MESS we are in now.

Chaos and civil war was already in Iraq before we got there, it's pretty self centered to think the US started it. Sheepshead has a point. Anyone crying or throwing a fit about what the US is doing and don't like it here should take Sheepshead advice and move.

LOL! Uh, no it was not. All the CRAZIES in Iraq from both sides were being pretty well controlled by Saddam. Brutally, true, but that's the only language they understand. They do not understand democracy nor do they want it. Once either side gets the chance, they will massacre the other side and install their own type of Islamic dictatorship.

I partially agree here. Iraq has always been troublesome and have always needed someone like Saddam. Saddam was the best guy who handled Iraq since Al Hajaj Ibn Youssef Al Thaqafi, who was like an old age Saddam Hussein.

But I don't agree with the saying that they will massacre each other once they get the chance. It might look that way thanks to some religious nuts from both sides, but it has much more to it than just sectarian strife.

No they weren't. SADDAM was killing off his opponents, that's all. And THAT goes on in all of the Middle East.

No they weren't.
Take a look at some history...that's not even history, we're talking about pre-2003 here, not really far off into the mazes of history.

Saddam had everything under control. The funny thing is today there are members of the current pro-US Iraqi governement negotiating with some former Baath party members to include them in the governement, as apparently these guys knew how to deal with Iraq.

Seriously, nobody buys the "bringing democracy and freedom" argument anymore.

I could care less about democracy over there. All I'm saying is there were alot of other problems there before we got there.

I will spell it out for all those to naive to understand what is going on in Iraq.

We (The U.S.) are there to secure the oil reserves in Iraq.

We are not there to primarily bring democracy to Iraq. A docile country will be easier for the American and whatever Coalition forces occupied there.

Why do you think during the first hours of the Iraqi war American troops had a primary directive to secure all oil fields. Not the museums housing history since the beginning of documented mankind or anything else about their culture. ?? These are the facts, I am not making this up.

And if you think Obama, Hiliary or anyother talking head is going to remove all troops from Iraq then you are REALLY naive.

The U.S. if NEVER leaving Iraq. To leave would undo everything accomplished so far. That does not mean bringing democracy or stability to the people. Democrats and Republicans alike are going to run campaigns on tapping into the marrow of U.S. voters saying, "We will pull out our troops and end the war." Bullsh**.

And if you still don't believe this you should read your history books. Somebody tell me where the U.S. has military bases all over the world. And now tell me which ones have be TOTALLY dismantled and went home.

All talk.

Not including civil war. Actually all this sectarian strife in the whole region started by the American invasion of Iraq.

Exactly. It has been all about the oil, since day one.

Come'on Sheep. Just because you hear a tab running on the war doesn't mean its going to get paid for in a traditional manner.

We have strategically set up our pieces to secure oil reserves in the middle east. Disruptions in oil supply from a terrorist that decides to light up one thousand oil fields or a government that will not do business with the U.S. on likealbe terms would be catastophic to the price of oil, then to our economy in a way that would far exceed the cost of being an unwanted occupant.
