I always clipped until ny daughter gave me one of those Swiss Army Knives with the three differnt punch sizes. Which I'm kind of liking now that I'm using it. The punch seems to work better on the large gauge cigars that I like.

i said it before.. and I'll say it again... SCISSORS.... that's it...

but if I had to choose, then I prefer a clip over a punch..

for me, the punch is the last resort.. I'll usually use the one that is built into my lighter when I have no scissors of double guillotine with me, and there are none to be found around..

although, if your cigar is a bit dry, and you're not able to properly moisterize the cigar's cap prior to cutting it, the punch is the only tool that will not cause the cigar to unwravel.

I always clip unless it's one of my La Flor Chisels. In that case I take the smallest punch I have and put two small holes on each corner of the chisel. Can't beat the spice that comes from those Double Ligeros.

I'm a clip man myself. Can't find a cutter to handle the big 60 gauge though.

I always use a double guillotine cutter to clip my cigars. I'm not a fan of punch at all and I would be torn between using a punch or using my teeth as last resorts if I had to choose

Punch, then clip, then punch again, then glue the cap back on, then I clip once more.

Then you light it, put it out and save it for tomorrow... Wink

Clip, unless the cigar is some ridiculous ring (anything above 54) in which case I will punch.

I am usually a clip guy. I just recently won a lighter with 2 different punch sizes on it. I will only use it if the smoke is too big for my Xikar.

ROFLMAO.

I've had a cigar cut with scissors. It was different and kind of interesting, but I like the clean cut you get from a double guillotine. I'm an Xikar guy. I usually cut pretty deep too. At the very end of the cap. I'm such a rebel.

Mostly clip but every now and again I will use the punch. Just to change the experience a little. I keep one on my key ring just in case and it's came in handy.
