Hey Doc, Kona is a type of coffee right? Is it strong? I've seen it mentioned on this forum and on the web quite a bit. I think I need to try it. Do you have a brand recommendation?
Today I think i'll try a Cuesta Rey Sun Grown.

Today's smoke is a DPG Blue Label Invictos. It is certainly a powerhouse and is a nice change of pace from what I've been smoking lately. I'm smoking it now while listening to NPR Fresh Air.

Doc if you really like the Kona peaberry, try the Kauai peaberry (dark roast). A lot of people in the isles are liking it as well if not a little better.
"Cuban seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and Cuba. The wrapper would be from Cuba. The binder leaves would be from Nicaragua. For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. That Cigar, he says with pride, would score 100 points." -Don Pepin Garcia

I love this day! It is always the day for my dad and I to indulge in the simple pleasures of life.... homeade pizzas, the race and smokes.
Having a la fleur dominicana and liberty ale while I wait for his flight to touch down. What great combo... maybe Mickey D's should revise it's value men?!
no cigar yet.doc, i've noticed you mostly smoke opus x or don carlos,,,and i cant remember you posting a habanos for your cigar of the day/night..do you like habanos?and what habanos do you enjoy?
Thought I would mix it up a bit today and try one I started out with awhile back as a noob. 5 Vegas Robusto and some Buddy Guy tunes. Seems like my tastes have changed, looks like I gota fire up another selection from the humidor later this tonight.

Another 4-cigar day today: started out with the same two as yesterday---a Victor Sinclair Primeros Aero #1 and a Punch Rare Corojo (2005) Rothschild, then I had a Padilla Habano Robusto, and tonight a Camacho El-Legendario Torpedo. I knew from the pre-light draw that the El-Legendario was not going to be as good as I'd hoped because the draw seemed way too loose, and I was right.
Well it's 19 degrees F here in Buffalo so after a big lunch I sat in my car with a Macanudo court, a small cup of Felipe Segundo brandy, cranked the heat and put the Beuna Vista Social club in the cd player. Relaxed and just enjoyed the taste, smell and sound.
Had a Sancho Panza, a petit corona I think. Very spicy and enjoyable. I selected it because of its size (I don't remember how I got it; may have been a present), since I was smoking in the garage and needed it to be quick because of the cold.
