Lighten up Flash. What difference does it make how many posts someone has on this sight? Isn't this forum about about sharing information and opinions about cigars? I had nothing to do with Don Lucas plugging his cigars. Are you trying to be the CA police or are you just still upset that the Habs lost to our team from Philly? Don't worry, the Flyers are only half way there.
Lynn Thompson, it just seems strange to Flash, me, and several members on this forum that you've signed up for a while now, have 18 posts and most of them is about this don lucas cigar that we've never heard of. Not to mention that two other members with virtually no posts, no signs of their precense on this board as long as I can recall, all of the sudden pops up and asks and answers your questions about don lucas. Now, obviously no one knows except for you if you are for real about this cigar or some people are just using this board as a cheap marketing technique. I'll leave you with the benefit of the doubt since I really don't know you at all, so I will assume for now that you really love don lucas, more than the padrons, more than olivas, more than AFs, more than la flor dominicans, seeing how much trouble you are willing to go through to get some of these cigars. If don lucas, who himself magically appeared on this board, thinks his cigar is worthy to be compared with the likes of AF, Padron, Oliva, and La Flor Dominicana then I suggest that he send a few prestiged members on this forum a free sampler. Doc and Extensioncord would be good choices, send them each a sampler and let them be the judge. Because if they say it's as good as you make it out to be, I will most definitely buy some. Of course he's always welcome to e-mail me and send me a free sampler, I'll be glad to write a review for it

DStokely, Thanks for the reply.I don't know if you noticed but my first Don Lucas post was about a year and a half ago. I was in the Dominican for a wedding of an old friends daughter. I'd hardly smoked any cigars before so the Lucas Museum seemed kind of neat at the time. I had their medium priced smokes which are similar to Leon Jimenez or Don Lino. Since that time I've tried quite a few different cigars and the Lucas seems like an average smoke now. No, I wouldn't try to compare them to the Padron 64, LaAurora Ecuador, Don Carlos, or Oliva V which I really like. I still consider myself new with the cigars. I'm glad that I can sit and enjoy a cigar and not have it make me hack and cough like when I smoked two packs of cigarettes a day a few years back
no problem Lynn Thompson good to know that you switched to cigars from cigs. Enjoy and let us know how those cigars are now that your palate's more refined. I know I definitely no longer enjoy many cigars that I thought was good just a few months ago.

I have a ton of questions about Don Lucas cigars. Does anyone know where I could get more information?

And I should know, I've been smoking Don Lucas for years and I've experienced not a single robot attack!
LOL!
I've noticed that they also attract a lot of beavers.
So many questions: anyone know of a hotline or e-mail address where I could get some questions answered about these beauties?

Lynn, My husband and I went to the Dominican Republic several times and he LOVES the Don Lucas cigars. He bought 250 and did not have one bad cigar. For Christmas, I contacted Lucas De Meester and he was kind enough to send us 50 cigars. My husband was so happy and I just wanted to say that from what I hear, they are now available in the USA. If I find out any more information, I will let you know. I haven't seen them in retail stores yet (I always buy cigars for him) but I know he loves them!

(250 Don Lucas'!!! Gee! That's a lot of Don Lucas'!!! But I guess they're so good you want to smoke 3 at a time : one in your mouth, and on in each nostril...)

Yeah Flash, and maybe one out of each of your ears too. I'm just saying they're a decent cigar, not the greatest in the world. How can you knock something that you never even tried?
Which still leaves us with a few orifices to fill...
Funny thing is, I'm sure they are decent cigars. It's just what seems to be a pretty unsubtle marketing scheme that p1sses me off. "250 Don Lucas'?!?" Gimme a break...
