I was thinking about trying a flavored cigar. Does anyone have a recommendation of flavored cigars. If so, what flavor and brand?

Hey, what's this about cigars! Don't you know this is the "Politics Talk Forum"!!

Just kiddin.

I don't really care for flavored cigars, but if I had to smoke em, I'd stick with the CAO brands.

For information like that try the FLAVORED CIGARS FORUM.

Any cigar that needs to be flavored is pure unadulterated HORSE MANURE to begin with

Its a shame what they do to perfectly good cigars these days.

The only flavor I like is natural, maduro and I love Cameroon and I can't forget the Sungrown.

Someone is smoking these things, and I'd like to hear about them. Who here likes flavored cigars and why? Do you smoke flavored cigars and regular cigars? I want to hear your opinion.

I started with flavored cigars, but dont smoke them at all anymore. They just taste fake to me, and arent enjoyable. Why would you want to cover up that wonderful tobacco flavor with anything else? I think they are ok for noobs, which is what i started with, but now they just taste fake and a bit of a chemical flavor to em.

Someone is also smoking machine made cigars, alot more than premiums. Apparently, there’s no accounting for taste.

I think I read that some idioit claims flavored cigars are a ploy to get kids to smoke cigars.

Is it my imagination or is David spending more time on the forums lately?

Thats a bold statement from a guy named sherpa.

Yesterday while at my local tobacconist I saw a sauza flavored line of cigars. I almost lost my lunch. Who the hell thinks up this crap?

If you want to try a flavored cigar, I suggest these 2:

Vanilla: Heaven Vanilla
Irish Cream: CAO Eileen's Dream

I have tried the ACID cigars and even the Drew Estate Naturals, but don't care much for either. Try them if you want though.

Like Jadawin, I also started with flavored cigars before I began to really enjoy the natural flavors in "real" cigars. Most of the flavored cigars out there in my opinion are crap cigars to begin with. I do,however, think there are a few being made by reputable companies that aren't bad, namely CAO. I still occasionally smoke these because I still have some on hand and they are great for a quick smoke. I don't think the flavor comes out in the smoke as much as it does on your lips, so if the cigar is decent enough to begin with, then the subtle flavor isn't going to change much of anything. I have noticed that when these cigars are dry, they seem to me to have much more of a harsh bite than other cigars.

Luckily, flavored cigars were not my first taste, or I would have been totally turned off of cigars by the flavored garbage I was trying to smoke when I first started. I quit trying flavored cigars for a while and stuck to "real" cigars, until I found the CAO ones. While they are not my first choice of cigar any longer, they aren't bad. I can certainly see them being a segue into the pleasures of smoking a cigar au natural. Smile

That's some funny ish PMP.

CS, yes, I've noticed it as well, Daves been all over the place. I like that he's posting more.

As far as flavored cigars go, I've never actually tried one, and I plan on keeping it that way.

I have tried a couple when I have been half
$h!t faced but thats it. There is nothing like the pure unadulterated taste of real untouched tobacco in my opinion, no flavored cigars for me.

By the way, RP has a new one out also.

I agree with Stogie, even though I do smoke the flavors sometimes, there is nothing like the yumminess of plain ol' tobacco!

Hey, what kind of "flavor" are these ACID cigars supposed to be. I've heard of them, but have a hard time putting something called ACID into my mouth to smoke. So I've never known what they are supposed to taste like?????

Haven't tried flavored cigars. Might do so when someone holds a gun to my kid's head.

to SmokinHot:

"What flavor do ACID cigars have?"

I smoked a Kuba Kuba like 4 or 5 years ago, but from what I remember of the taste, it reminded me of Room Deodorizer. I mean, sure the cigar had a sweet taste- but there really isn't anything natural like an orange for example, to compare it with. If I had to compare it something we're all familiar with, I'd say really foul Kool Aid.

OK..I know I'm going to take some heat here...but thats not unusual for me. Those of you that know me and have been on the receiving end of bombs from me know I love a wide range of cigars with a lot of taste, and yes I do smoke cubans..probably more cubans than most do...and yeah..I smoke a flavored cigar once in awhile.

While a young boy on my granddads farm in indiana, he used to smoke swisher sweets..and I've had a few of those. Now, when I absolutely have to have a quick smoke break where it can take no more than a few minutes, I'll lite up a Cuban Honey cherry or something like that, maybe even a CAO moontrance or the like. Its not an everyday thing, but for something quick to satisfy the craving and when I don't want to waste a robusto, I'll lite one of those up.

So let the bashing and name calling begin. yeah, they are flavored short filler cigars, but they do for a quick smoke.

I'm almost tired of the elitist snobs around here getting down on everyone because they do something different than smoke Davidoffs, Fuentes, or Dominican Monte's all the time. Put the snobbery and attitudes away and let people be.
