Is it at all possible to restore old dry cigars or is it a lost cause? Here is my dilemma/possible experiment: For some reason I just remembered that some time ago (15-20 years?) I had my mother purchase some cigars for my father's birthday. Dug them out of the garage today. I remember them being for sale in an ad in a sporting magazine. They are La Aurora No. 1, I suppose a corona size. Don't know if these are or were a good smoke. I have a full box of ten still in cello. Never humidified or temp controlled. Dry as a bone, I'm sure. What do you think folks? Thanx.

Do you live in an area with high relative humidity and stable temps or have these also been baked and frozen, dried and rehumidified for all these years?

I would say if you smoked them, they would taste like cardboard. They've done lost the oils long ago. They'd make a nice keep sake.

No matter where you go or what you want to do....there will always be something or someone in the way.
