i have some cigars that have been in a igloo type humidor for a couple years & they have alot of mold on them . in this day & age is it ok to smoke or is there a chanch of getting some kind of lung infection ? they are in good shape , but by being in a closed humi they dont get alot of air circulation , thanks
Take some pictures, post them on a website, post the link here. Let somebody here have a look at them. If it is white mold they could be absolutley fine, a dry wipe will sort them out. Certainly don't give up on them just yet. Is there a mouldy smell from the humidor?

Don't give them up that fast, they are probably still smokable. Any kind of bacteria/fungus will be dead by the time the smoke reaches your mouth, the heat is capable of killing all these microbes.

depends really on the actuall mold. one of my favorite smokes are the zino platinum scepter chubbies. they come in that really cool black tube and 3 out of 10 times i open a tube to get the cigar out there is some small amount of this whitish mold. i brung it to the attention of my cigar shop and was told that this kind of mold is fine. its just forming because the premium leave is trapped so tightly in the tube. but i was told if the mold was funky or green, its garbage. just what ive heard. plus like lucky break said, a small amount of dusty mold will burn off .

There is a good chance that it could be "bloom" or "plume". Like stated before, bloom or plume is the result of the oils in the tobacco crystalising which makes for a well aged cigar and very smokable. This stuff will dust right off. Give us a good description and we may be able to help identify the difference. I hope this helps. Good luck.
