I saw Sir PaulMcCartney and his wife Lady Heather on Larry King live yesterday. The Newfoundland Premier Danny Williams was also invited.
The McCartney's are now replacing Brigitte Bardot as the celebrities being used by proponents against cruelty to cute animals. That is their right.
Greenpeace & the World Wildlife Fund have moved away from the seal hunt. What with 6 million seals up from 2 million in the 70's. GP & WWF focus on global warming, endangered species and gmo's. They have left the Innuit & Indians to continue their traditional fur trapping. Ducks Unlimited is quitely spending its mandated millions buying up and preserving wetlands.
Paul, Danny and Larry had a lot of class. As for Lady Heather with her persistent eye rolling and insipid "don't change the subject". She is the epitome of the "protect cute animals" syndrome. The commercial slaughter of hundreds of millions of cattle, sheep, chickens, pigs and fish is "changing the subject". I simply think it isd putting things in perspective but to her...well that is what free speech is all about.
QM Quality does not occur by chance. It is the result of intelligent activities.

Who are they kidding? Paul McCartney was shilling for Lexus SUVs as a co-promo with his last album...he also recently played in China, probably for a boatload of money.
Listen, I'm probably the biggest tree-hugging, bleeding heart liberal on this board and even I think he's a hypocrite. I don't think he's wrong about the seals, necessarily...just lacking in credibility and a little nutty.
Once I got past the Lexus SUV ad inserted in his last CD, it was a pretty freaking great record though. I just don't need him telling me what to think.
Who cares if they protest the practice? It's their right to, why exactly does this make them nuts? Just for the record, I always loved the "so a baby seal walks into a club joke."
"Don't like it too much, they're more expensive than drugs."
