I smoke virtually everywhere except restaurants or municipal buildings. My favorites are grocery stores and convenience stores. I figure if they sell them, I can smoke them. I've been tossed from just about all of the local stores selling tobacco products. A few have resisted the local ordinances and allow smoking.
Otherwise, I smoke at one local watering hole, outside my shop, and during walks or drives.
During the summer, I like to piss off the Cambridge liberals so I smoke outdoors in an area where there is high foot traffic and several nice benches. I love seeing the facial expressions for the nitwits. No one has had the testicles to say anything to me...yet.
During the winter months, I usually smoke at Churchill's at the Millenium Hotel near Fanueil Hall. Wonder atmosphere, bar, plenty of seating and tables and above all, floor to ceiling glass walls looking right out on the street.
Otherwise, I'm one of the few people that has a wife that loves me enough to let me smoke at home without any grief.
In the Jacksonville Fl. area, I frequent Aromas....it's a lounge/bar/club. Or I smoke at home(outside of course) While reading or drinking Chivaz. On Saturdays my associates and I meet at the docks and enjoy a nice smoke. If all else fails I can always count on lighting up on my weekly round-
opposite part of the northern half.. Northern Bergen County. Best friend used to live in Andover.. so I am familiar as to where you are. Enjoy the smokes and the lakeside views... where is the lounge out by you?

In the back yard, watching my boys run around and play. Walking the dawg, cutting the grass or waiting for whatever is on the grill. Out riding in the jeep (top down with wind blowing thru whats left of my hair). Out camping or fishing or hiking - do ya see a pattern here. My favorite place is anywhere outdoors!!
well, my favorite place is one that no one will be annoyed, but since i havent found one yet, my house balcony, my car and my office are quite convenient. summer is ofcourse easier to smoke without much trouble, but this time of year things get a little tougher. my favorite place is at the office, after lunch, with a closed door, and an open window, when a lot of thinking is required, and no phones ring to interrupt this special 'interaction'. how about you?
I live in Los Angeles, and usually smoke in my back yard. On the occasions that I smoke while walking in public, I get so many dirty looks that I now feel compelled to hide my cigar between puffs. I am a very respectful smoker and avoid blowing smoke near others, but being a cigar smoker in southern California is not well tolerated. Although every now and then I'll hear someone tell another, " Wow someone's smoking a cigar, that smells good, let's get one". I'm not quite sure what my point is exactly, other than to say smoking in public compromises it's enjoyment, and that cigar smoking is best done around others who share the enthusiasm.
