I like to smoke cigars at the local cigar shop in Downtown Downers Grove called the Tribeca Cigar Company. They offer a smoking lounge, complete with the leather couches, big screen TV's, reading materials and a relaxing atmosphere after a hard day of work.
I smoke wherever I can, the golf course, the porch, the deck, bars (that still allow it), and about once a month I will meet a friend for some conversation and a mid-day smoke in a shop. Most often however, I do my smoking in the man cave. The cave is a room over the garage out back that was a school room in the 1920's. It's not much and a little rough around the edges but it's comfortable. I have a/c, a heater, cable tv, a fridge, dart board, chairs, tables, and my dog. I even have a radio intercom so my wife can let me know when dinner is ready.
some smoke 'em as long as they can...I prefer to smoke 'em as short as I can
I Normally smoke on the back porch under the gazebo. If it rains, it just helps make it a better setting (unless it is a windy storm). In the upcoming cold months I plan on resorting to the garage where I have a dart board set up and some chairs and tables.
I would love to enjoy an occasional smoke in my local B&M's lounge, but I always feel like I would be intruding. It just seems like if I sat down, I would get a "get out of here kid!".. Is there a particular etiquette to that?

One of my favorite places is with friends of mine, that owna horse barn and have a huge soking area above where we can view the horses playing down below through the glass window. The we break out the cubans and have great conversations, me, my lady , gus and his lady and sometimes other friends all enjoy great cigars from cuba. thats the best and most relaxing place in the world for me. as a matter of fact it should be an issue in CA, and would be atale to tell and would capture readers all over the world.
don you have no idea, Canada is even worse! this place sucks, you can barely smoke outside anymore because our gov't are fools and need to grow some, (sounds like) HALLS. i still like to break their rules from time to time chief
In my patrol car. During the summer I sit on my patio, and light up. During the winter, I sit inside my condo, pour a scotch or a martini, open the windows and fly on gossomer wings to Heaven.
I work right next door to Cigar Shop & More in Addison (fantastic establisment!) which is where I get my daily after work smoke in but when I want to get a puff in at home I have to step outside to my porch. Not too bad with the chair and footrest I have although right now I've had to drag out a space heater. When the lady is out of town however its the living room with the porch door open and incense burning in the background!
There is a thin line between genius and insanity measured only by success.
It's winter now and it is an unfortunate time for me to have just bought my very first full box of authentic cuban cigars. I say it's unfortunate because I look forward to 5 degree Celsius days up here in Canada to be able to smoke them. I plan on leaving a path of homes with ventilation systems in the office of each house once I become a homeowner. But while I'm a young, married student I'll have to continue with walks in the park and looking forward to summer.

Yes -- buy the cigar there, and that entitles you to have reasom to smoke it there and have no hesitancy about doing so.

I know what you are saying. I'm 22 and sometimes I know the owners are looking at me weird keeping an eye on me, even when it is my 10-15th time in there.
You gotta find a shop that's very hospitable. I see that you live in Georgia, as do I.
If you live on the north side of Atlanta, I would recommend J's Cigar and Coffee Shop which is about 5 miles north on 75 after 75/85 split. They don't have the biggest selection but they are very nice and stayed up with me and my friends, on our first visit there, an hour after close just playing chess and talking.
Another very hospitable shop is AG cigar shop in Stockbridge. It depends who is running the shop how you will be welcomed, but they are always eager to help and they will ask you to stay and smoke and have a drink as well. There are always people enjoying cigars in there. They have the BEST selection of cigars that I have found on the south side of Atlanta.
I hope this helps.
I just like cigars, is that ok?

Weather permitting, I enjoy setting in my back yard, or my lady friends back porch, feet proped up, with a glass of red wine, her great company, and my favorite cigar. Since I live in Washington, I am forced to smoke on designated Indian Reservations because of the strict smoking laws. With that said, there are some very good lounges around the Seattle area, but one has to look hard to find them. I am also an avid backpacker, and always carry a cigar or three in my backpack to enjoy in the evenings with a cup of Bailey's.

Pardon me I'm a newb. The wife does not mind cigar smoke so I'm Lucky enough to smoke around the house. Have not had but a few "CC's"... so I usually smoke the popular "NC's" availible. I do make it out to the garage to smoke..."Tim Allen style"....Have never smoked at the local B&M's...guess I'm just not that social. I should get a bud to go hang at the lounge one evening.
I enjoyed smoking at Big Shot's in Monterey. Currently I enjoy either smoking on our back patio with my wife, who also smokes, or at Top Shelf, here in Augusta. Occasionally, the weather is pleasant enough in this blighted city that I can go for a walk and a smoke.

On the back deck w/ outside chimney. In the livingroom when its snowing to hard. Of course with a glass of Glenlivet a toasty Cohiba the girlfriend and a game of chess. Sometime in the car for the longer rides.
When I'm walking around the city I smoke in Boston Common's. Luckily I have a girlfriend who ocassionaly smokes cigars too so I'm able to smoke in my study. I'm just waiting for MA to take away the right to smoke in public parks, it's only a matter of time.

As lovely as my wife is she won't let me smoke indoors. I usually sit on my front porch overlooking Mt. Rainier. I have a kerosene heater I sit beside which keeps me warm on chilly nights. Sometimes I hear coyotes yelp, to me it's just music to my ears.
I have always said the wild is where a man finds himself but I am beginning to find this true when enjoying a cigar.
I usually smoke my cigars out on my patio in the summer. Wintertime brings my cigar smoking to my tiny office in back of my garage at home. The Famished Frog in Morristown, NJ has a good supply of cigars to smoke while watching your favorite football game. Nothing like smoking a cigar indoors.
