I am looking to buy a Boston Cutter. Table top and the " Little guy " BUT I cannot find a place that sells them anymore. Seems the company may have gone under.

I used to live a couple miles down the street from them. It's a small operation in Bellingham, MA.

Hi,

I have a friend who may want to sell his tabletop Boston Cutter. I believe it is the Mahogony model. Any interest?

The question isn't "where can I get one." The question is "why would you want one?"

The cut they make is less than ideal. It removes too much of the struture of the head of the cigar, making it prone to collapse, particularly if you are a chomper. It builds tar more readily. It's more likely to damage the cigar.

Get yourself a Palio and be done with looking for other cutters for life.

Wow. I heard such great things about this cutter. My friend is only thinking of selling his because he has two of them.

If you'll notice, I wasn't bashing the cutter, they might be fine specimens of mechanical prowess. However the cut they deliver is an inherently poor method of smoke delivery.

I think people only buy them as a conversation piece or as decoration for a cigar room without any real thought to how it effects cigar taste/enjoyment.
