I have been having some major humidity issues with my new humi....cant get it to level out around 70.....can someone tell me a bit more about these sticks....I am just sick of worrying about monitoring the humidor and not enjoying the smokes inside....at this point I have removed all of them from my humi and placed them in a humibag so they dont dry out while I figure out what's up....think I may be dealing with bone dry cedar

Seasoned it when I first got it. THink I may have rushed the process. It is about 50+ capacity. At this point it is empty and I am going to put a shotglass full of distilled h20 in it later today and let it sit for about a week. I have a Credo humidifier and what I am thinking is a piece of s.h.i.t. hygrometer

How long did you season it? In fact, tell me what you did when you "seasoned it"
Also is the temp in flux as well?
Also like zdpin said, make sure you salttest your hygrometer. I test both analog and digital just to be safe.

1) Dampened sides w/ distilled H20 (caused instant RH spike) 2) Placed dish of distilled H20 and charged humidifier in humi and let whole thing sit for 2 days 3) Removed dish, recharged humidifier and loaded my sticks
Yes, temperature is sort of in flux. It is cold as hell outside. I am wondering about relocating my humi to another part of the house. But am more concerned that everything is tied to the RH issues

Thats most likly your problem. Seasoning in most cases takes longer then 2 days. I would start by calibrating my Hygrometer. meanwhile i would start the seasoning process over again, then once the calibration is done i would place the hygrometer in the humidor and continue to monitor your progress.
