Hi Guys,
I am having issues with my torch lighter. About 8 months ago I purchased a Blazer EVO Dual Torch Lighter. For the first month or so it worked perfectly. But after that, it has worked sporatically. When I fill it with butane, I follow the instructions on the can...turning the flame down all the way, filling it for 15 seconds, waiting a few minutes and repeating. But increasingly, I have had to turn the flame higher and higher to get it to even light. Now, on the highest setting it won't even take a flame. There is butane coming out as I can hear it.
I am not all that familiar with lighters and not sure if this is a cheap model or not. But since I like a larger ring gauge I decided to get the dual flame model.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

try and bleed the lighter completely, and refill it then..

it could be that you're pumping air mixed with the butane.

i regularly bleed all my torches, and refill them....

also, blow some compressed air on the ignition.. there could be some dirt particules stuck there, and they will disrupt the fuctionning of the lighter

Hey Midtown-- Alpharetta here. Use at least triple-refined/filtered butane as well as following the advice above re bleeding your lighter. Vector is actually 5x filtered and what I use.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the advice. It killed me not to be able to relight my cigar this morning out in the park with my dog!

Ronson butane will destroy your lighter and is only good for ...Nothing that I can think of.

As the above wise men have stated, Vector, Bleed the lighter , clean the burners with canned air and enjoy your cigar.

Alpharetta, Larzz, Salibas and Doc:
Thank you for the advice. I tried it and it works perfectly! Just enjoyed my St. Luis Rey Serie G while walking through the woods with my dog.
