That's what the people on this forum who don't understand trademark law don't get.

Does Altadis have a case? Yes.

Is it winnable? Probably not.

Do they care? Absolutely not.

The point isn't to win. It's to intimidate and bully a little guy into submission.

As others have said, it's an easy boycott since most (but not all) of Altadis products are bland. I personally will not buy -- or recommend to others -- and Altadis product for the time being.

Altadis is really just an @$$hole company for doin this. Yeah, they do have a case against Pete, but I think they do just wanna bully the big guy. Suing Pepin is to make an example of the power that they have in the cigar industry. Im not too sure what effect a boycott would have on Altadis... Maybe a nationwide boycott, but how would these @$$holes even know that the folks on this forum are doing it? Maybe doing something like what was encouraged prior to SCHIP, when it was suggested to send teabags to congressmen, would be effective? Idk, I wont abandon Tats, theyre a good smoke, and Altadis cant take their blend.
