I am still doing my research on a "end table" style of cabinet humidor. One that has really caught my eye is made by Puro in the States. Has anyone had experience with these humidors or the company itself. I have seen cheaper cabinet humidors but they look cheaply made.
I never heard of Puro. As long as they are made in North America you'll be ok.I know that aristocrat and avallo cabinet humidors are amazing and built great. Dont bother with chinese made stuff. Their fine for little desktop humidors but not for a large investment like a cabinet humidor. Not worth the savings and the headaches of trying to get a good seal. Good luck on your quest and congrats when you get it. Let us know what you get.
The worth of a Humidor, to me, is based upon a combination of:
* What is it is made of * How is it made * Who made it and what is their reputation * How well designed it is to work [maintain as precise, stable and constant RH and Temp level with normal every use/access] * How it pleases your eye * How well its presence pleases any non-smokers in the household * and ultimately how well it suits your budget.
Also: [1] I believe PURO makes their Humidors 'off shore' [2] Avallo and Aristrocrat are less expensive but made less expensively [3] Chinese imported Cabinets have their proponents and are the least expensive.

I have had an Aristocrat M Plus for over 4 years and it is very nice. It is not cheaply made and Bob Stabel is a stand up guy if anything goes wrong with it. Everyone that comes over to my house comments on it and wants one immediatly.
Try avallohumidors.com Matt stands by any of his products that he makes for you. I bought one of his endtables in 2004. The humidor is great. The price will vary depending on the different accessories (i.e. beveled glass, smoked glass instead of clear etc....) you order
