He didn't seem to think Tom Lehman was a bad pick for Ryder Cup captain two weeks ago. Now, he's pissed about it:

I have to think he's under a lot of stress. He hasn't won much lately, just got married, the press is annoying . . . I don't know that he'll ever be as good as he was in 2000.

At least he isn't saying he should be the captian.

Tiger would probably do better than the last couple guys. You know he would be better than Curtis Strange.

Tiger's probably under stress because of the new wife.

Therefore, in the spirit of Helping My Fellow Man, I'll offer to take over "Husbandly Duties" for a time.

I think you do Tiger an injustice. I just read the article and Tiger doesn't object to Tom Lehman at all, what he does say is he thinks his buddy Mark was the logical choice given his heritage and the location of the match.

He didn't have a thing to say about Tom. He's simply campaigning for his friend.

It's criticism by default. By saying O'Meara would be the best candidate, he's implying that Lehman is not the best choice. No, it's not direct criticism, but it's not tough to get the picture.
