Just watching the weather and see that it will be between 102 and 108 in Phoenix! (It's raining and 52 in Buffalo. )
Time for that cool drink, big cigar and SPF-30!
Stay cool.

That means it's cooled off since Sunday, when it was 109. Hot as hell -- no fun to be outdoors in, not even in a pool unless you're in the shade. In fact, my wife's school is having indoor recess 'cause of the heat. And I felt overheated this morning after I came in from going out front for the newspaper. It's time to leave for San Diego for the summer (I wish).
Someone I talked to last week, I forget who, told me their parents lived on the lake in Buffalo and the summers were worse than here, 80 degrees with 100% humidity. I wouldn't look forward to that.

Saul,
Sometimes, but not that often. It has never been 100 degrees in Buffalo. (99 a few times.) The temps in the Summer are typically in the low to mid 80's with only moderate humidity. (Not like FL or TX.)
Lake Erie acts like a big air conditioner for the region since the water stays around 72 degrees. The prevailing SW winds blow up the entire 250+ miles of the lake, keeping us cool.
My sister-in-law and her kids spend the Summer up here to get away from the 120 degree heat in Phoenix!
Wish I could spend the winters there because it has been -20 with 60mph winds in January!

Very true. It was prefect today in Bham, 70 and sun shining. To bad about all my cigars being the in the freezer. I poped over to one of the tobaco shops (really just a cigarette store with a crapy humidor in it) this afternoon and picked up a Chateau Fuente for 15 dollars. Good cigar, complemented an afteroon at the pack nicely.
