...the death penalty?

If you are against: Consider the situation where your family was brutally murdered and they caught the guy....Did you just change your mind?

That's a tough one. I could give you an answer now, but if someone close to me was killed and the killer could either go away for life or get injected... i might give you another answer. How's that for answering the question w/o really answering it. That reminds me of our two presidential hopefuls. Big Grin

For It, I don't like my tax dollars going to house & feed the animals that commit crimes that warrent the death penalty.

I am for the death penalty. I will also go step forward (and I know some of you wouldn't like it), If any of my emidiate family has been murder, I want to have an option to kill the f****r myself. And it's not just for killing, it's for the rape also.

Some people just do not deserve to have the right to breathe.

Absolutely for it.

We send several deserving souls to their final judgment here in North Carolina every year. Recidivism for these folks is a guaranteed 0%. Now if we could just do something about that backlog . . .

Having already experienced the murder of a family member, I can whole heartedly say that I support the death penalty.

We don't kill enough of them in this country. It should be done in a way to preserve the body parts for use in organ transplants.

For it, especially if the victim is a kid or the perp is a repeat performer.

Against it until we can figure out how not to convict the innocent morons.

Innocence project

But if guilty... then I will happily pull the trigger, flip the switch, or turn the knob. Just don't want to do it to some guy that is innocent.

I'm all for it, but I wish they would kill them a lot quicker. It pisses me off when we pay for them to sit on death row for 20 years.

Strongly support it! We should go back to hanging. Costs less, more suffering and you can reuse the rope.

I dont pay to keep these "animals" around just to get out and continue to be a drain on society.

I'm for the death penalty, BUT heres the problem. I would have a problem sending someone to the chair or needle if I had doubt that they were guilty. sometimes the wrong person is accused.it doesn't happen often, but it does happen. well if the "wrong person" is executed in accordance with law, does that constitute a murder? makes you think doesn't it. and don't forget that a persons life can be in the hands of 12 people who aren't even smart enough to figure out how to get out of jury duty, much less sort through the finding in a complicated case and make a rational decision.
I could literally go on for days about this subject, but lets just say that if the right person is convicted, I'll throw the switch myself.
