So I don't know if I have burned out my taste buds or what, but the cigars I used ot like just aren't strong enough anymore.

I like to have a cigar once in a while that makes my knees weak. The cantero used to do it, when I first started, but I guess I have become immune..

Any recommendations?

I'd consider something above 6 bucks for a special occasion, but I'd like to (ideally) be able to smoke a couple a week..

Thanks in advance..

Joya de Nicaragua Antano.

Mike

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Michaelsean nailed it. JdN Antano ought to do the trick. Also Oliva O Bold's are somewhat strong for the sub $6.

El Rico Habano are the strongest cigars at the best price. I like the Habano Club's. All the sizes are strong, be prepared to smoke one on a full stomach. You won't believe a ride this wild has such an inexpensive price of admission!

I also enjoy JdN Antano's but I don't think they are as strong as everyone says. They are potent flavor bombs for sure, but not head spinning strong. The price and quality is good though. I found the below at Holts.com;

Joya de Nicaragua Antano Assortment $19.95 Qty:1 each:

Belicoso (6 x 54)
Churchill (6.78 x 48
Gran Consul (4.75 x 60
Robusto Grande (5.5 x 52)
Machito (4.75 x 42)

Full Bodied 3 Pack from General $9.95
Value Plus Points: 298 Qty:
Try 3 of the World's most flavorful cigars for the price of two. Taste and decide for yourself which one of these 3 cigars is the richest and most flavorful.

Includes 1 each:
Punch Gran Puro Rancho 5.5 x 54
Partagas Black Label Clasico 5.25 x 54
El Rico Habano Maduro Rico Club 5.5 x 54

One of my favorite "strong" cigars for the price is the La Escepcion Tapa Negra series IV. JRs has 5-packs for a great price.

What's funny Binder, is that I don't find El Rico Habano's nearly as strong as Antano's.

I think most of us would have trouble finding those at a sub $6 price. They are good, but out of the range of this topic.
