I work in a cigar store and I'm trying to do a little project by printing out a list and photos of celebs and their favorite cigars. I've searched google and around the net and can't find any detailed info on what the stars like to smoke. Anyone know where I can get more info??

Personally, I wouldn't care what celeb likes what cigar. I would rather see ratings and reviews from various sources, each providing insight to the different cigars and their origins.

You can research this through back issues of CA. Unless you look at the Kurt Russel interview - I'm still wondering why he was on the cover but doesn't smoke cigars.

I could not care less what the celebrity du jour puffs on. Irrelevant to me.
As for movies, I can't say what Gene Hackman smokes in Crimson tide, or what cigar Hugh Jackman's character "Wolverine" smokes in all the X-Men movies. How about John Wayne's character in McClintock? He picked up 20 boxes of Cubans at the dry goods store. Guess this is drivel too, but more interesting to me than a celebrity's choice.

I am aware that Zino gives away cigars to the stars. They hand out their Zino Platnium Crown Series cigars. I know that they give these to the younger stars like Ashton Kucher or however you spell his name.

That was when CA jumped the shark. I remember when I got the "shark jump" issue of rolling stone- the first cover with no mention of music on it- at least CA has recoverd.(somewhat).
The tenth anniversary issue of ca with Churchill on the cover had a list of sorts. CEOs, actors, those sorts of people and their faves. I think that is right (not totally sure).

...Welcome to the board J. I've not decided on which cigar's are my favorites but I have narrowed them down to larger ring gauges, mild to medium tastes and a nice easy pull.
