Mr Speece, while at work today I got a phone call from a gentleman named Dan Speece, I didn't want to ask if it was the same person from the formums of Cigar Aficionado, but I do believe it was you. Please let me know if you called Alliance Link.
No, it wasn't me. Since I am foolish enough to use my real name, I guess this sort of thing is bound to happen. I just don't like hiding behind a screen name but probably need to rethink that strategy.

Hi Raven, "Retirement" is good from the Navy. It's this second career that really keeps me going! But since I am working with the VHA (Veterans Health Administration) I enjoy the work. Hope you are doing well too. Have you deployed lately? I know that must be an ongoing concern.
I was thinking about retireing, however we in the Guard dont get any retirement money till we turn 60. Also a good friend of mine retired not long ago and was pulled out of retirement and activated for Iraq so retirement for certain MOS's is a gamble. I figure if I have to return to Iraq or Afghanistan I would rather go with folks I know and a unit I have some choice in being in.
