I think, that to me the coolest sub-story to this election is the faces of all the black folks at Obama's speeches and rallies. It's plain they're simply incredulous that Obama is where he is, and that even if he somehow loses today, it's been a major step forward for our country.
Here it is in writing, from a guy who still remembers segregation.

That's a very, very big deal. And it has already happened. If today turns out like I hope it will, though, it will be an unimaginably healing thing for this country - immediately, before he even gives a victory speech.
