I bought a box of "Authentic" Cohibas in cuba just 3 weeks ago, with a humidor. But my cigars seem to be getting a little dry. I put liquid and i got a temperature gage.

I'm hoping someone can help me out here and advise on how to keep my cigars "FRESH".

Thank You!

If you are sure they are "authentic" as opposed to authentic and if these are your first cubans - throw them away.

As for the humidor, probably you didn't season it, that's why it sucks humidity out of the cigars.
Here is how to season a humidor.
Oh, and it's usually called hygrometer what you called temperature gauge (if it's digital, it may also have temp reading, so it's a hygrometer with thermometer). Temperature is important, but humidity is even more important.

And welcome to forums.

I followed similar instructions to season my Humidor, dampen the inside with a sponge, put a cap full of water inside, leave for 24 hours etc. Figured it would be ready so i introduced my cigars and within a day noticed they were getting dry. I took them back out then seasoned the humidor again.. then a third time.. and finally on the fourth time my hydrometer steadied and I haven't had a problem since, I'm getting a cigar out of it every week and they're in very good condition. I wonder if the problem was that my humidor is a 100-capacity yet I only keep about 20-30 cigars in it at any given time.. doesn't really matter now though as it all seems to be a-ok.

You can put them in a big zip lock bag or tupidor.

Seasoning the humi will only take about a day, just keep wiping it down. It is kind of spendy but buy an electric humidifier; set it and forget it it. It really helps out.

Thank You very much to all who replied to my questions.... I have begun seasoning my humidor... and i put my cigars in a ziplock bag and froze them for the next 48hrs and then down to the fridge for another 24hrs, that way you kill any tobacco beetles. This occurs when your humidor maintains a temp above 75 derees for more than 24 hrs.

Once again...Thank You!
