Has anyone bought anything from JRs when they have their weekly 1 O'clock Madness?

I've never purchased anything from JRs, so I want to know if their 1 am deals are worth checking out. I'm not going to stay up past my bedtime just to have a deal on Padron Seconds.

I've stayed up for it a couple times but they weren't offering anything of interest either time. I've bought a humidor and cigars from them. Always a good experience. One of the best things about buying from JR's is they don't screw you on shipping charges.

I may stay up tonight since the RTDA was just a week ago. Maybe they have something interesting to offer that they got there...ANACONDAS anyone? A pipe dream I know.

I've stayed up once and got a really good deal. I am thinking about staying up tonight. I'll have to see how I feel in a couple of hours.

They sell only one item and it's on a first come first served basis. Last week, so I have heard, they sold out within 10 minures.

If you like or want what they are selling, you can get a great deal. If you are up, take a look, it can't hurt ya.

buy 99% of my smokes from JR. ALWAYS more than satisfied with results...happen to live just across the border from them, so I get my shipments overnight without having to pay for overnight delivery...shipping charges are EXCELLENT.

Never ordered from the 1:00 madness, thoght I am usually up..still ew enough not to be savvy enough to know if it is a deal or not, but would not hesitate to order it if it something you like.

damn damn damn
I had this written down and stickied on my computer moniter and I ended up leaving to see Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle (which was surprisingly funny) and completely forgot about it. What price were they handing boxes out at?

I stayed up, but I didn't partake either. If I smoked Excaliburs regularly, then I might have. But, for only a $16 savings, I wasn't going to buy a box of a cigar a rarely smoke.

$30

Just joking, it was %60, or $16 less than their usual price. It was a good deal, but I passed because they are not one of my regulars.

I order from JR's all the time. The few times I have caught the 1AM madness it was either some Mayorga coffee flavored cigars or some thin/tiny size I don't like. The 1AM cigars are what they are; odd lots of cigars that won't sell at regular price and there aren't enough of them to offer in the catalog or weekly special. If it is something you like, you'll save some $$$ and feel like you jit the lottery. If they aren't you go to bed bleary eyed and disappointed dreaming of half-priced A. Fuentes.

I wonder whether it is held at 1 am simply because the buyers sense of reason is shot at that point.

The Boli's they had for 48.00 were a good deal. Got them last week or so. The MC Whites I almost bit on. I think they are a great smoke but a little on the expensive side normally. So the madness price is probably where the MC Whites should be normally. The Excaliburs are a decent smoke. If they were the maddies I would have bought. The last few weeks have been decent at 1am. Now the weekly specials have been anything but good recently.

I agree. The Bolivar Fuerte 754's were a great deal. I got in on that and I have smoked 2 so far. Each one has been spectacular. I had never had one before and I really like them.
