You get rid of one problem player (Randy Moss, who I still think is the best player in the league) and pick up another. I hope this contract is LOADED with incentive-based clauses. As in, if this guy ****s up, he doesn't get paid. Hopefully he's not a locker-room cancer -- I have never heard anyone say he is. Perhaps Seahawkan can comment on that last bit.
Agent: Vikings reach deal with WR Koren Robinson Judd Zulgad and Kevin Seifert, Star Tribune September 6, 2005 VIKE0906.OL
The agent for Koren Robinson said today that the wide receiver has reached an agreement in principle on a two-year contract with the Vikings.
Alvin Keels refused to give any financial details of the contract, but said he expects it to be signed Tuesday.
Keels said Robinson, the former Seattle Seahawks first-round draft pick, won't play in Sunday's regular-season opener against Tampa Bay, but he should be ready for Week 2, when the Vikings travel to Cincinnati.
Robinson, 25, sought treatment this summer for alcoholism and has a Sept. 14 court date stemming from a drunken driving conviction.
He was selected ninth overall by Seattle in the 2001 draft. His best season came in 2002, when he caught 78 passes for 1,240 yards. But the Seahawks released him in June after several off-field incidents, the latest a drunken driving stop in May in which he registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.19.
Robinson pleaded guilty July 18 and was sentenced to one day in jail with 364 days suspended, but the case was reopened when officers smelled alcohol on his breath when he arrived to serve his day in jail.

Clarett is done, Phillips is going to be locked up after his latest . . .
The Vikes don't exactly have a history of turning people around (Google the term "Whizzinator").
Packers will be 6-10 or 7-9 this season, by the way.

Here's what gets me - someone is willing to pay you a bazillion dollars, you get to buy a giant mansion, put your parents in new houses, etc. and all you have to do is play the sport you love and NOT stick coke up your nose, smoke dope, be a drunk, etc. for the few years of your playing career. Is that really so impossible a task? And to risk it all to get loaded.

GO LIONS!
BTW, I don't need a record prediction, I already know.
4-12.

Addictions can cause people to do things that make no sense. It's too bad. I bet the guy has had a drinking problem for years. If he stays clean and doesn't cause trouble in the locker room, he has a pretty phenomenal opportunity in playing with a perennial MVP candidate.

Sorry Idesign. I couldn't resist. 5-11, best case scenario.

lol, it's ok coming from a conference rival (especially an overrated one)
They'll be ok. They'll struggle the first couple games, but it'll click. They showed some positive signs last year. If only our QB wasn't an aspiring princess...
OK, Cori. What do you see in the crystal ball for the Vikings? The Packer trophy case is pretty full after adding the last 3 NFC North trophies, plus 3 SB's and many, many NFL championships. What's in Minnesota's? And remember, the 4 SB runner up trophies don't count.
BTW if the Packer Defense plays as poorly as last year we'll most likely be 9-7 or even 8-8.
This could be a long year in TitleTown.

The hype is really high for the Vikings. ESPN The Mag picked them to win it all. Hard to see them beating the Colts, but if the defense lives up to its billing . . . If the Vikes D finishes in the top 7 in the league, they will be in the 10-6, 11-5 range. If not, probably 9-7.
Packers are about an 8-8 team. I can't stand Favre, but I have a tremendous amount of respect for him. Chicago and Detroit will be battling it out in the cellar. Too bad about Garcia -- I had him starting by week 3.
