I bet the Israelis would like to drop a couple of bombs on the crowd at his funeral, so would I. That would rid the world of alot of scumbags for sure.

How low can they go? The lowest "the world community" went(in dealing with arafat) was in 1994 when they awarded this guy the nobel peace prize.

Who's next UBL, Saddam?

Let's not forget about our own Pres Clinton who padded arafat's frequent flyer account with God knows how many slumber parties at the white house.

Thank God Pres Bush immediately took the policy of not dealing with arafat/terrorists.

El Mamerro,

Sharon? Youv'e got a beef with him? For defending his people, perhaps? Maybe you see the issue as one group evenly fighting another, but without rehashing the whole mideast trouble here, there are some things you should know. First, Arafat INVENTED terrorism, going back to the 1972 Olympics, when he was involved in the murder of innocent Israeli atheltes. He INVENTED the hijacking of airplanes and advocated an armed struggle. That armed struggle included the deliberate killing of innocents, including women, children and babies.

Sharon, like Bush, understood the nature of Arafat's terrorism and fought it. Not by the deliberate killing of innocents, but rather by the targeted killing of terrorists. Would you criticize Sharon for defending his own people?

Don't equate a murderous terrorist dictator with the elected prime minister of the only democracy in the Middle East.

Arafat was a terrorist and wasn't the leader of a recognized nation. What was the diplomatic purpose in the U.S. sending a representative to his funeral?

I like to think I'm open minded, but I'm glad to see him go. Peace wasn't on his agenda, and I think the Nobel Prize was only a ploy to try and sway him in that direction...
It didn't work in my humble opinion.

Like Arafat,
There were mourner's even for Stalin & Hitler. This may be the best opportunity for peace in the middle east. It will all come down to moderates like Egypt and Jordan convincing the Palestinians to find a middle ground with Isreal. I'm not sure though how a "Palestinian state" with land in Gaza and the West Bank could work being seperated by Isrealis territory.

I was thinking about this today and wondered what kind of sendoff they'll give Osama. Hopefully, after we find him, his coffin will be a matchbox.
