I am such a cigar junkie, I now include cigar smoking in my exercise.

Last night I smoked two cigars while walking around the neighborhood. The good news is I walked longer because I wanted to finish the last one...

If only I can figure out how to do it when I bike...

I hear ya Sprizz. My wife gets pissed that I have a gym membership and never use it so lately I have been walking our dog about 2 1/2 miles each night. She does get pissed that I use it as a prime opportunity for grabbing a smoke. What was your workout smoke last night? I enjoyed a nice RP Sungrown Toro.

Here's my view. I love smoking cigars. I love buying cigars, I love playing with my cigars, so what's the problem? I only smoke after work so I spend time during the day thinking about which cigar I am going to smoke.
If its a habit, so be it. I have a number of scissors, 4 lighters, more humidors than I am going to admit to.
Its great therapy too. I had a friend over the other day who has been dealing with serious depression for quite some time. I asked if he had smoked cigars. He said he had a white owl once. So I pulled out a sig ll. He was wimpering like a kitty with catnip before he got half through. I bet he is spending time thinking about when he can come over again and get another one of those.

I agree with SHF. How can smoking cigars be "bad"?

I agree. Still trying to figure out how long a walk JSP took that could take up two cigars. Confused

Although it's been too hot lately, the cigars add to my enjoyment of taking Misty for long walks in the evening. Although I just walk for about 30-45 minutes, not long enough to finish off a robusto.

for some reason i was able to smoke a Peterson robusto and a CAO Anni Maddie Corona in 1 hour and 15 minutes. WAAAAAY faster than it would take for me to smoke them if i was just sitting around.

Depends on who you ask; if you ask me, I'm fine and have no habit/problem. If you ask my wife she'll probably tell you different.

Oh, we probably see "sex" differently too! Big Grin

Big Grin I smoke slower when I'm walking, since I'm also dealing with the dog's wanting to run, and visiting with whoever walks by.

In answer to the original question, I've gotten into the "habit" of smoking on the way to work, and buying miniatures since my "window of opportunity" is only about 15 minutes and I got tired of wasting good cigars for such a short time. Today was the first of my Sancho Panza miniatures, whatever they're called -- not bad, but no comparison with a SP Robusto.

Saul....you've been smoking a lot lately. Everything ok?? Razz

Glad to see you are getting to enjoy life, my man. Was jealous to hear about the pool at the new house. Swimming laps with a puff break at the turn?? Decadent.

Thanks for asking, everything's ok. Real estate and kid stress, but nothing much. Not really smoking anymore than normal, especially since those minis are a fraction of a real cigar.

I agree. Totally decadent. It's about time for some decadence in my life. Cool

I definatly spend too much money on cigars...But I definatly don't smoke enough!

People aren't smoking cigars to be trendy, cool or stylish. They're smoking cigars because they like them. Because they enjoy the experience. Because for about $5 they can spend an hour sampling one of life's greatest luxuries.

I gave up cigarettes last Jan 1st, at least a 2 pack a day "HABIT" so if I hear anyone complain about my cigar "HOBBY" I just remind them that with cigarettes at almost 4.00 dollars a pack x 2 a day min. I'm probably saving money on the year. allthough I doubt it lol

I too think about the smoke i'm going to have that night. Even on a bad day, it's can be a light at the end of the tunnel. It's also something to share with my friends.

Its a good hobby/habit/happening thing - I usually use cigars during lawn mowing, working in the garage, or taking an afternoon walk with a buddy at work. Once a week or so I stop at one of several friendly cigar lounges on the way home and yak with the owners while watching the big screen.

All this fun for us seems unfair to our significant others. Do they make any tubos that are "ribbed for her pleasure"?
