I am always weary of buying many cigars in fear I won't get to them in time of drying out. I am considering purchasing my first humidor, any suggestions on where to get them or anything in general (the cheaper the better). I am unsure of e-bay, not knowing what to look for. I don't need anything too large, just something to hold a few sticks.

Read, read, read... There are several threads here that ask the same question. Just use the "Find" button and type in search terms or words.

Everyone has a different opinion, yet all agree on one point: get bigger than you think you'll need. Sage advise right there.

I'd consider going to your local shop, sitting down, listening. When they know you're serious and not a wanna-be, they'll answer anything and everything you ask. Internet sales are so big, corner stores want your business.

Even if the humidor is a few bucks more than you'd spend via Internet, you can't hands on inspect the product, as you can at a local place. Most of these places only advertise by word of mouth, so they'll treat you right. Just a thought.

Don't go cheap if you're going to buy. (Making yourself a coolerdor or something similar is another issue.) If you buy cheap, you get cheap. I lucked out with a nice medium-sized no-name humidor, eventually, but, if I had to do it over again, I'd go for a top name brand with good reviews here.

Good is cheap, cheap is expensive.

If you can't afford a humidor get some Fuente Humidipouches for your cigars.

I've had good luck with Savinelli. They marquetry is gorgeous and they work like a champ. Really retains humidity well.

As a previous poster suggested, think of the largest size you could imagine getting, then get a size bigger. Your collection will grow before you know it.
