I have seen some pictures of guys using wine coolers as humidors. Do they work really well?. Any problems? I can get one off a buddy of mine because he's moving and don't want it anymore.

No matter where you go or what you want to do....there will always be something or someone in the way.

Been using a 100 bottle cooler for almost two years now, it works great with Cat litter beads for R/H control. I put in two computer muffin fans, timer controled to keep air and R/H stratification to minimum.

Wow that is a nice wine cooler humidor. I have been thinking about doing one of these for a while now. It gets hot in the summer where I'm at and I dont want to subject my smokes to an inhospitable climate.

I've been using one since late fall. I haven't had to turn on the cooling unit on yet due to the freaking cold Canadian winter. It has been holding steady at 66-67%rh with kitty litter beads. No complaints yet.
