When I use a ladder to go up the roof I tie it up so that it cannot move and the ladder goes 5 feet above the roof line.

I had an uncle who fell off his ladder while painting. He was reaching....just....to....put that....last...stroke of paint out too far.

Anyway he woke up in the hospital with some broken facial bones and his two hands in casts.
For three months he could not use his hands to eat his food, to wipe his..., to pull his... You get the picture, eh?
Fortunately he had his wife to do this for him and he didn't need to hire anyone.
That is a true story.
