Just checking to see if there are any motorheads out there? If so what ya got, what have ya done to it?
Myself 1971 Buick GS 92,000 original miles Red w/ black top. It has the original 350, added cam, holley, headers, ignition upgrades, T-350 built for racing (full manual valvebody) 4.56 in the rear w/full spool. I just recently did all the suspension w/energy suspension parts. Have yet to run the strip, but maybe next year after I put a '72 455 in it.

Oh, yeah, I like to smoke cigars while I stand around it at shows (to keep it cigar related Big Grin )

My old man builds hot rods and while I don't own one myself( Frown) I have helped build many a beaut. We're currently doing a frame-off '56 t-bird. It will run a Mustang II front end, 4-link in the rear, bags all the way around. It has a 427 Cobra in it, don't remember what the guy decided on a tranny, It will have Ferrari leather interior, we're going to CNC him a custom set of wheels and also machine some logo that he wants on the rotors. The frame just came back from paint, and after all is said and done, with all of the custom parts and paint this guy wants (not to mention he changes his mind like the weather, even after the part has been made and installed) the car will run the guy well over 100k. Must be nice.

I only wish my sons could have seen them.

My middle son had a GTO back in 1991, but I am not certain what year it was. It was a muscle car though.

1969 RoadRunner 440 6pack B&M racing automatic, Arctic White with black stripes. I bought it in 75 and sold it in 2000.

The guy I sold it to did a complete frame off restoration. You can eat off the motor.

Yeah well over 100K in it and he's not even getting an expensive one Eek. We've put out cars for over 250K, it's a whole different set of people that buy cars like that.

When I was kid.
Dodge Duster. 340. Hearst, Thrush, positraction, bias ply tires. Fat ones in back, narrow in front.
Not mine. My weekly drinking buddy, my cousin.

They don't make cars like that anymore.
GOOD!

Spent the last 10 years building and driving a red 68 Mustang flop top
It has had every nut bolt and washer removed;
289 CID
Edelbrock aluminum heads and manifold
Try Y ceramic headers
1992 AOD tranny
3.25 gears
Shelby 10 spoke wheels w/BFG T/A's
Black leather interior with 93 Mustang front seats
Electron fabric top
Remote door and trunk releases and a whole lot of other small mod's.
This winter it will be getting a custom bent stainless exhaust system with Magnalow mufflers and a tricked out 331 small block which will suposedly put out around 400 HP.
The car won in it's class at the Mustang 40th anniversery at Nashville this past April.

I had a few musslecars/hot rods growing up
55 Dodge Lancer Royal 392 Firedome 2 4bbls , gas was 25 cents a gallon & it got about 8 miles per gallon on a good day 5 or 6 on stop light drag race nights
63 Monza Spyder Convertable , Turbo charged , was able to get the front wheels off the ground a few times before the clutch went.
69 Fairlane GT 390, it was bright yellow & every cop in the county could see it a mile away
75 Dodge Dart Sport 340 6 pack - lime green ,
Traded it in on a station wagon, started to have children , they cost a lot more than cars ! Enjoy, Vince

Currently have a 1961 Willy's Jeep sitting in my garage, with less then 20k original miles. at somepoint, I'll even get it back on that road. Need to rebuild the engine.
