Acrylic is plastic and does not breathe as wood does. You must open the humidor daily to let air in and gasses out. Much the same as those who store cigars in a cooler. Since it can't breathe your cigars may become overhumidified.

They seem to be expensive too. I have a $69 humidor from JRs that holds 150 cigars that works just fine. Are you specifically looking for a humidor that you can see through?

I don't know much about the functionality but the looks are pretty terrible. I am a fan of the wood and I love the cedar smell. I will never understand why anyone would want an acrylic humidor.

I guess I can see the confusion.
