Here's a new idea. Suppose that a new person comes on and asks a question that has been asked a million times, and instead of flaming the person, someone just nicely tells them where and how to get the info from the search function. Then, if the person shows signs of not cooperating or is combative or jerky, its flame away. I think good natured kidding is fine and dandy, I do it too. But this whole blast the crap out of anyone new because they haven't followed the exact rules really doesn't sit well with me. So - I am going to try to do like a bunch of you are, answer new peoples questions nicely but if they get disrespectful or jerky, then I will point that out along with the rest of you guys (and ladies). Can we have an agreement to start giving noobies slack until they show they need flaming? What's to lose. If some of the oldsters don't want to deal with them or are annoyed by them, how about just skipping responding to them? Go ahead - flame away!!!!! Bob

I'll join your merry band of noob-appreciators, or slackers (is that what we'd be called if we gave noob's some slack?) Can't we all just get along?
