The goal of the “liberals”—as it emerges from the record of the past decades—was to smuggle this country into welfare statism by means of single, concrete, specific measures, enlarging the power of the government a step at a time, never permitting these steps to be summed up into principles, never permitting their direction to be identified or the basic issue to be named. Thus, statism was to come, not by vote or by violence, but by slow rot—by a long process of evasion and epistemological corruption, leading to a fait accompli. (The goal of the “conservative” was only to retard that process.) -----Ayn Rand,

I now will defend Thompson Cigar Co. against any and all naysayers!!! Such is my vow!!

As much as these other people laugh at your posts, I'll get past the inlaid humor in your plees for help and try to help you out.
In case any of your naysayers are actually serious about your mistake of revealing a brick and block source, I'll quiet them down by saying Marshall Fields in Chicago takes up an entire city block. You'd cover at least 50 square blocks (each also with 4 sides) with your description. Sorry, but I'm not trusting your description of "no more than 5 blocks". I've listened to enough people to know to always add half again of what they've said to be safe. So, I'm quite sure that within that area, in the 3rd largest city in the country, there would be more than a few places Cigars could be bought. For all you remember, it could have been at a gas station that you were sold an unbanded Philly, or Backwoods. RIGHT???
Never fear, sooner or later once you make a reputation on these boards, you might be lucky enough to trade for a few enjoyable smokes. Keep plugging away.

I do know that there is a major differance between what I've had many times and what I've had only once... And my intention was not to stir up a hornets nest by my mistake.

Yes I do have allot to learn about posting and I'll do my best to take my slaps and learn from them... Sorry everyone.

What I did recently was to try the what I have in the past... I bought about 10 of the best cigars I could purchase and keep a log of the types that come closest to my what I had once before.

Hopefully the next time I post I'll be better at posting and more knowledgeable about what I'm smoking.

Sorry,

My recommendation (and that's all it is, not worth a dime) is to find some new cigars that you like and enjoy. You're quest to find this flavor that you've built up in your mind over time will turn out fruitless because it's just a memory. Be happy that you experienced that certain taste and move on. There are tons of good cigars out there, Cuban and Non Cuban alike.

It's what your profile says, but I wanted to make sure. I'll delete your address once you respond if you don't want it shown.

I didn't think that having my email visible would be a problem, but if you think its best to remove it that's ok... I'm sorry if I blew it that bad

I posted that because I emailed you earlier and hadn't heard back. Just wanted to know if you got it or not.

I'm checking now... My spam filter might have gotten it by mistake... If I have recieved it, I will respond... Regardless, I am sending you one now.
