I have a big problem, I own a humidor with ~ 60 nice assorted cigars, one of my friends thinking he was doing me a favour half smoked a cigar cut the end off and replaced it in the humidor, I found out a week later with the stench coming out of it …
What can I do to get rid of the smell and will the rest of my cigars be damaged? I tried to air it for two hours … didn't seemed to work …
Thanks,

If you have access to another humi or tupperdor I would move your gars out of that box. Letting the humi air out for awhile should fix most the problem.

Yuck! One suggestion: choose your friends more carefully. If that is not praticable, keep your humidor where only you have access to it.

JMV- Empty your humidor and put a small container/saucer of baking soda in it with the lid closed for 3-4 days. The baking soda should absorb the burnt odor out of it. If it still has the smell after that, chage the soda and do it again for another 3-4 day.
