I heard so much about this cigar that I just had to pick one up. It was a bit hard so I needed to age it a bit (2 1/2 weeks) in my humidor. I decided to light it up last night. Ovrall, a good cigar - not a great cigar. But for $11 I was expecting a much better smoke.
It had a good draw, nice white, solid ash and a bit spicy on the back end. Good overall construction with a toothy maduro wrapper.
IMHO it is not worth the price. There are much better smokes out there for about half or 60% less than this: CAO Brazillia, Patel Vntage or Sun Grown, CAO Black, any R & J, Maria Guerrero - these are a just a few that come to mind.

How did I miss all of these gems? Did you actually just say that any RyJ, Maria Guerrero was better than a Maduro Hemingway? You were kidding right? I mean, even if you don't think they're the best tasting smoke after your 2 weeks of "age"; Maria Guerrero ?

Hemy Maduros retail for about 6.85 for the classic and 6.15 for the Signature. I prefer the cameroon wrapped ones, but for under 7 bucks, it is a nice change of pace.

It was said that I might have gotten a bad stick. I will pick up a few more and let them rest for a few weeks in the humi then take another shot at them

I dont think a few weeks are really going to make that big of a difference.

I suspect Slider lives in California or New York, given the prices he's quoting.
