I heard so much about this cigar that I just had to pick one up. It was a bit hard so I needed to age it a bit (2 1/2 weeks) in my humidor. I decided to light it up last night. Ovrall, a good cigar - not a great cigar. But for $11 I was expecting a much better smoke.

It had a good draw, nice white, solid ash and a bit spicy on the back end. Good overall construction with a toothy maduro wrapper.

IMHO it is not worth the price. There are much better smokes out there for about half or 60% less than this: CAO Brazillia, Patel Vntage or Sun Grown, CAO Black, any R & J, Maria Guerrero - these are a just a few that come to mind.

How did I miss all of these gems? Did you actually just say that any RyJ, Maria Guerrero was better than a Maduro Hemingway? You were kidding right? I mean, even if you don't think they're the best tasting smoke after your 2 weeks of "age"; Maria Guerrero Confused?

Hemy Maduros retail for about 6.85 for the classic and 6.15 for the Signature. I prefer the cameroon wrapped ones, but for under 7 bucks, it is a nice change of pace.

It was said that I might have gotten a bad stick. I will pick up a few more and let them rest for a few weeks in the humi then take another shot at them

You should post your review in the dear editors forum. They just might use it in their Magazine reviews.....I'm sure it would fit right in.

I suspect Slider lives in California or New York, given the prices he's quoting.
