Not to be a jerk, but I think there was a thread on this about 2 weeks ago. None the less, I will share my opnion of the show because I know you all care so much
I think it's corny and boring. I don't understand why there has to be procedures for smoking and eating. Also, do him and the surgeon general duke it out? I don't like the fact that he never puts-down any products or gives ANYTHING an honest review. To me the show feels like one large advertisement for whoever is paying for commercials or putting products on his desk. I find the show about as infomative and interesting as a catalog from T********, JR's, etc. I simply prefer my media regarding the good life to be discriminating and a bit snobby.
Actually IMHO - I find it to be the best Cigar Comedy available and every now & then Dave rises above it all and really makes me chuckle. Hell - I'm gonna sit there and read through something cigar/sports related while I enjoy and hour or so smoke why not be entertained...

Cigar Dave is a radio show host that has a 2 hour program on Saturday's usually. He spends half the program talking about the "latest and greatest" in cigars, and the second half about food, drink, politics or just about any other diversion you could think of. As has been said, he doesn't seem to give true opinions of cigars but rather promotes whoever is sponsoring the show. It is somewhat cheesy but I do get a kick out of listening every once in a while. Check it out if you care to: http://www.cigardave.com/cd/

I listen to Cigar Dave's archived shows, which is usually a problem because they don't update often, and some of the links don't work.
I agree it could be a whole lot better, but it's kind of like pizza and beer -- when it's good, it's really good, and when it's bad, it's still pretty good.
What cracks me up is his "Officers Club." For $19.95 a month you get three sticks (shipped in a humi-pouch). You have no control over what you get. Being resourceful, I find more economical ways of getting smokes.
I also don't like Dave's pimping of T******* stuff or JRs, where he allegedly provides content for that other conflict-of-interest deal, Cigar Magazine (I like it because of the content in spite of the fact it's JR's glossy ad).
As cigar aficionados we can't expect too much. Kind of like that show ESPN ran last winter, "Tilt." As a poker player, I liked the content, because it was the only thing going, but it wasn't that great of a show and they constantly made factual errors in their depictions.
As long as it's content, and it contains some useful information or has some entertainment value (I only listen at work, when I'm working, so I ain't wasting personal time enjoying it), I'm all for it.
