I finally got some time off (for good behavior) and when I got home I changed into Jeans and a tee shirt (77 degrees here FINALLY) and went out back to do some cleaning up.
After an hour of that I had enough so I found an OLIVA ser V Lancero courtesy of Cyrran.
Nice smoke...A real nice smoke.
More later.

Nothing till later for me. I just can't decide what yet.
Maybe one of those new (NC) Montecristo Platinums that I got from the Internet special. Never had a Montecristo before, but the platinum's sure are pricey.

There is a Partagas petit corona especiale in my humdior thats screaming to be smoked, checked on it today and it feels and looks amazing (really nice oils). Unfourtunately its raining really heavily here in England at the moment, so doubt i'll get to smoke it tonight..
"It's the sense of touch. In any real city, you walk, you know? You brush past people, people bump into you. In L.A., nobody touches you. We're always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something."
This morning started with a party short. Went to the local B&M where I had a Kristoff Corojo toro. UGHHH!!! I don't know where to begin. Just plain bad. In all fairness the local had it way over humidified. But so far all who tried except one person hated them. I may give it another try so I can post some sort of review. I ended my stay there with a Nub Habano 460? pretty good. Smoked even and long. Just didn't have much complexity or distict flavors. After the party short nothing seemed to hit the spot. I should know better than to start the day at the top.
I couldn't end my smoking day on a bad note so while outside grilling a pork tenderloin I slowly enjoyed a Trini Reyes. Now that was the ticket.

Tonight, I had one of the Montecristo Platinum Vintage 1999 (the robusto) that I got from the on-line special. I smoked it with a few vodka & sodas. It was a good-looking cigar and had a good burn with a slightly limited draw, and that’s where it ended. It had, to me, that typical acrid taste that comes from anything I smoke with Dominican tobacco, with the exception of Ashton and Arturo Fuente cigars.
I tried to like it, but ended-up putting it down after the first third, which I hardly ever do.
To me, life is too short to keep smoking something that does not have a flavor profile that makes the smoke pleasing. I put it down and grabbed one of my old-reliable Padron 3000 naturals and life was happy, happy again.
BTW, this box of Padrons I’ve been smoking are dated February 2008 by the QC papers inside…which means these NCs smoke very well without any age.

You know, I bought a robusto once and it blew me away. So I went out and bought a box of the V's and hated them until this this month which has been 4months in my humidor. Now, I can get enough of them. I have the belicosos, perfect size and shape for me.
