Looks great but the price is worryingly low. There's a lot that can go wrong with cheap humidors over time, especially once humidity is introduced: seams can go out of joint, glue seperates, the seal gets compromised, etc.

If your budget is $200, the fancier the box, the more that can go wrong. Buy the simplest, sturdiest box you can from a reputable manufacturer and preferably with some kind of guarantee.

That said, if you don't mind taking a $200 risk...it's great looking.

above is another option. well i really dont want to spend more than $200, but i also dont want something that is super great but holds less than 100 sticks.additionally, i do want a humi that looks nice, as i want to leave it on display either in my office or on a cofee table in the living room. any opinions are greatly appreciated.

to make this harder this what my fiacee is prolly going to be buying me for my upcoming b-day, so i basically haev to send her a direct link on what to get. all the shops around here sell humi that start around $500.00 (too much $$ for us)place i want it to last as she would feel horribel if she got me a b-day gift and after a few months, it stopped working, or the seals broke and all my sticks were ruined.

thanks again!

I have seen the Ravello in quite a few places, and it looks to be fairly well made. I would recommend that over the first one.

Grant,

I have used cheaphumidors for both humidors I've purchased and have had nothing but good luck. Dave the owner is also very friendly and supper helpful. I bought my first one around 1999-2000 and it still holds humidity like a champ. I just bought (about 5 months ago) the 300 count treasure dome. Looks awesome and so far works great.

Good luck finding something you like!

Cheers!

I hate to sound redundant, But have you been to Boda Pipes yet? They have some really nice desktops for reasonable prices.

Never dealt with these companies, but have had buddies buy and said the were legit. Also, JR's is running a deal on an H Upmann Humi with 14 cigars for forty or fifty bucks. Go on there and see what you think about it.

I concur, I got a desktop humi from Dave and it works great. Compared to one a buddy gave me that he got from T********, the difference is night and day.
