Interesting. In CT at the two Indian Casinos the prices are not less than on the outside so I presume they are charging taxes, but that is a voluntary agreement. Does anyone have an opinion on the treating of reservations as soverign nations? Is it just a legal fiction? They do not join (or could they?)the United nations and do not maintain foriegn policies. theyr members are US (or Canadian) citizens. Were they subject to the draft when there was one? We did treat the tribes horribly in the past and referred to the "Five Civilized Tribes" as such because they allowed slavery. Maybe this will start an interesting thread.
