.......Exactly 20 years and 3 days after I walked out of high school for good, my first born (a boy!) arrived at 4:20 a.m. weighing 9 lbs. and almost 20 inches long. Props to my wife for enduring 23 hours of labor with no epidural or C-section. I had the wonderful task of "catching" him when he arrived with no gloves. Just bare hands, teary eyes and an open heart. We are truly blessed and humbled.
...Several nights later after my wife & son(!) went to sleep, I celebrated this truly under-rated occassion with a 3 year old Fuente Fuente Opus X I recieved while attending the 2005 10th Anniversary Big Smoke Out.(I purposely saved this cigar just for this event). It was complimented with a short fat glass of Jim Bean Black & a couple of cubes of ice. I don't think I'll EVER go back to mild cigars again. Thank everyone for their advice, prayers & blessings a couple of months ago. Believe it or not, everything that was said helped, so again thank you.

Congrats! No matter how exciting and exhausting it may seem now, the time will fly by...be sure to take lots of pictures along the way. The very best to you and your wife and the new "bundle of joy".

...To each of you, thank you for your prayers and blessings. I'm having a fantastic time being a new dad! I just take it one day at a time and remind myself that this is exactly what my own father dealt with when I was born!
