This is the truth as a matter of fact, and only an idiot would not see it.

Lucky,
Your not even worth addressing so I won't bother.

Why?
Because I don't comply with your "good citizen" check list?

Don't be mad at the United States because your people can't fight. Israel took their land and I hope they take Egypt as well. Eventually I hope they exterminate all the terrorists and Jihadists who think and reason with the same limited knowledge you apparently have. The weaker are destined to fall, don't be mad. Practice your english and perhaps learn Hebrew. Wink

Are you and Sobek one and same person?
You just brought up the same irrelevant issue at the same time, further more, both of you wish that "Israel takes Egypt"....

You know this is funny, it's exactly like when you piss off a child then he makes a face at you and yells "I wish you trip over" or something stupid like that.

And I seriously don't get the last part about languages in your irrelevant post.

Lucky, no one wants to hear what you have to say about how you blame America. If you don't like America or what we stand for then get an AK-47 and head to Iraq with the rest of the people who hate America. There are plenty of Americans there who would be happy to discuss foreign policy with you. Wink
BTW-I don't like you, I don't like what you stand for and I'm sure the feeling is mutual.

About as relevant as giving a speach about evil America in this thread.

it really doesn't matter what thread you post in...you ALWAYS post about how evil America is. Always. You are a broken record.

Actually I never use the terms "evil" and "good" because they are non existent in politics. Politics is simply about pursuing your interests whatever were the costs and whatever were the stakes. And that's what the USA has been doing and is doing now.

At one point through history the USA thought it was their interest to support and even finance Islamic extremism to brush any Soviet influence off the Middle East. Today, the same snake the US has been feeding has turned on it.

That's what I just said.

As for the part about 911, if you seriously see that the decades of American policy of supporting Israeli aggression in the Middle East and supporting Arab dictatorships like here in Egypt and in Saudi Arabia has nothing to do with the attacks, then you need a reality check.

How is that irrelevant? You post about what you think is fair...and clearly you think the WTC bombing and murder of thousands of civilians was JUSTIFIED. I didn't think it was possible, but you have reached a new low in terms of my opinion of you.

So then in terms of what is fair..was it fair for Palestine to lose land when Egypt was the aggressor in the 6 day war? You guys basically gambled with other peoples money, lost, and left the table and left the Palestinians in the dust.

There is nothing that justifies bombing civilians. You will never convince the civilized world that the WTC was justified.

As a matter of fact I DO NOT hate America. I actually like America; freedom, democracy, prosperity, modernization and best of all, multi culturalism (though your likes certainly don't like that last one).

It is you who fail to make a difference between my criticism of the American politics and my stances towards the United States of America. You are the one unable to draw the obvious line between my dissatisfaction of the American policy's influence in my life and my region and between my opinions of the United States of America, the 1st world North American country of 300+ million population.

Not at all, it isn't.
I have learned that like and dislike has no place in politics. I don't even know who you are to say whether I like you or don't. All I know of you is the name "Presley" and a jet fighter avatar. There is a difference between not liking or not agreeing with your opinions and not liking you. I may not like/agree with your opinions, but I can't judge you on that to say whether I like your or dislike you on a personal basis, because everybody is free to have an opinion.

You know? Not for nothing, but both you guys are like a broken record. A discussion cannot be started without you two getting into it.
I'm sorry but both of you guys are to blame. Both guys have said things I don't agree with. But I'm not going to point that out.
There is nothing wrong with a good debate but you two debate the same thing over and over again.
Yes this is a cigar board and yes politics and religion can be discussed here. Most the time you guys suck each other in and the intellegent discussion goes out the window.
I think lucky is well educated and knows world politics but lets his predjudices get in the way.
Presley, I'm sorry but you rarely have anything intellegent to offer.
I hold no hard feelings toward either of you. Freedom of speech is a given right. But may I suggest, that when it gets to the point where the two of you turn a topic into the same old argument, you email each other in private and debate it off forum.
Yes its interesting, ammusing and entertaining but it just gets tiresome.
If you have something new to say by all means say it. If its the same old, "your evil, No your evil" then take it off forum.
Peace to both of you.

The argument is much more complex than you are alluding to, however I respect your opinion. I also respect your right to not read the posts in which we engage each other on these topics. However I will say this, I am done arguing with Lucky, from here on out I will not address him further. I cannot tolerate his views and will never change those views nor will he change mine.

Do you have reading problems Sobek??

Are you sure you understand the words you read the same way they were meant to mean by the people who wrote them??

Because I think that somewhere between your eyes and your brain something happens and it results in you totally misunderstanding the point the person addressing you is trying to convey.

I will try to be more clear.

Point number 1: I am here NOT justifying the horrific terrorist attacks that took place in 911, I am not apologizing for those who committed these acts of murder, I am not letting them off the hook. Are you following till now??

Okay, now with the above point established, let's proceed to point number 2.

Point number 2: I am saying that what caused the attacks on the WTC in 911 is partly coming from the fact that for decades, the US has been running an awfully unjust and double standard policy (or at least seen unjust by the extreme majority of the Middle Easterns) concerning mainly the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and also with supporting Arab dictatorships that oppress and silence their people like our Mubarak, Saudi's house of Saud, Jordan's monarch and Morrocco's ill excuse of a king.

Are you following???

Point 3: I am not saying that I think 911 is justified because of the American actions mentioned in point 2. I am just saying that the American actions mentioned in point 2 have lead indirectly to the breeding of religious extremism in the region. And what the USA has once used against the Soviets has now backfired on it.

I hope you followed till the end and understood what I meant.

Lucky, I suggest you stay away from political discussion because you have no command of the English language. All your posts contradict themselves...and then you have the audacity to imply that WE do not possess the capacity to understand you?

Give it a rest and save it for people who care.

lets get a little more historically correct here....

with the exception of sanctions and embargos, we didnt care what the japanese did until they came knocking on our door FIRST. You might remember that little thing called PEARL HARBOR.

9/11 came and at that point, we could have cared less about Iraq, Iran, or Al Qaeda...but once again, they came knocking on OUR door. I guess they forgot the weapons, training and money we funded them for their scrape with the soviets.

I will admit that in the first Gulf War (I am a former Ranger and vet) we went in did our job AND GOT OUT. We shoul dhavegotten out after Saddam Fell. But oh well....

The black/Africa thing....lets get historically correct here...blacks are more oppresive to blacks in that coutry. There is so much African genocide being committed by their own countrymen that it saddens me. Africans sold their own countrymen as slaves to the Assyrian empire. Millions of Africans made the death march to Assyria. Africans were the ones who went into the plains and jungles of Africa and caught other Africans and sold them to teh Spanish and Portugese for slave trade. Wy? Because it was profitable.

As far as being anti-America...I didnt like Columia so I left...I didnt like New York, so I left...I didnt care for Oklahoma (although a lot of good times were spent there) so I left...if you dont like America, then leave. It truly is that simple.

I am still waiting for Alec Baldwin to leave...I am still waiting for Sean Pen to Leave and Tim whats his name and his wife....all these people were vehement about publicly stating that if Bush was elected they would leave the country...fuuny....Baldwin is still acting in L.A. ..guess money erases all convictions and oaths.

Is this THE perfect country? Probably not, but it is OUR country. Try living (not visiting) in another country and you will soon appreciate what we offer here. Including the freedom of speech to offer your opinion. Try that in China, Cuba, North Korea or someplace with a leader like Chavez.

I am not a pro-American "buba"...I am a child of immigrants ( like EVERYONE here)but I do agree that if you dont like it, then leave...stop whining and get in and fix it, cope with it, or leave. Its pretty simple.

And here in America, leaving is as eas as breathing...try that in one of the other countries mentioned.

I for one feel you are making the right choice Presley. It's like beating a dead horse. I think you will feel much better on this site without the agravation of Lucky's views.
Good on you Presley.

Lucky:

I heard a quote on the radio (NPR) today. They said that Mubarak has ruled Eqypt longer than anyone except for two pharoh's. Is that a true statement?

they also said he was groomng is son to succeed him. I have to agree with you that we are very selective in where we promote democracy overseas.

Didn't Clemenceau say that countries do not have friends only "interests"?

Now knowing what Obama's mentor and pastor thinks of the United States of America it is now understandable why Obama doesnt say the Pledge and refuses to put his hand over his heart during the Pledge of Allegiance.

It’s now apparent that Obama not only knew about Wrights statements but values those statements.
