I was just at a local shop looking for a couple of cigars, when the shop clerk suggested this bundle of 9. Ok, don't rip me too bad, it was only $10. I know, probable some bad smokes, but I'm still sampling to see what I like. So probable some bad smokes in the bunch. Here, if you are interested is a list of what I got.
One each
HB 61 Mad Excal #3, Dominican club JD collection, La Fontana vintage, Te-Amo 1880, Puros Indios Viejo, A. Turrent 2000, Puros Indios, Te-Amo Aniversario Vintage, Leon Jimenes Conn, Grand Corona,
And I did get single Torano Casa Torano Robust Maduro, couldn't go all cheep, hehe. If you feel like it, let know how bad I did.
Can not honestly say there is one in that list i would smoke. But that is just my honest opinion. I hope you find something you like if not whats 10 dollars.

This is bad Ron. Very VERY bad.... I don't know about the smokes. (Smoke 'em if you like them then for $10 it's a steal.) But it sounds as though you have commenced the long slide into penury and obsession that so many of us have travelled down in the name of our shared hobby.

Don't take all the comments too seriously. We all have to start somewhere. I remember doing the same thing except I always bought those rare 25 count, buy 1 get 1 free 'special bundles' when I first started cigars. Now, every time I come home with something new or that special package arrives, my wife asks me how much they cost and reminds me of the days when I used to say "I'll never spend that much on a cigar...". As you step up in quality you'll find it very difficult to smoke some of your first buys if you still have any around (which I still do).

...and Ron, before you buy in the future, do an internet search of the cigar name your interested in and add "review" to the name. You'll be surprised what you will find.
You didn't do bad at all, brother. Many would say that for $10 you could have picked up a VSG and have spent your money wisely, but a novice like yourself in most cases does not have a developed palate, and therefore you would not have been able to really enjoy and appreciate it. Out of that list, the Te-Amo's are about the only thing that I wouldn't put in my mouth. The others, while being incredibly low quality smokes, are still better than smoking a white owl or a phillies. Everyone has to start somewhere, so don't let some of these guys get you down with their lack of appreciation for the bottom shelf smokes. You'll get there someday, and you'll have a hard time smoking anything "cheap" but for now, enjoy what you can, because there will come a day when the taste of a Te-Amo or an A. Turrent makes you want to hurl.

Well here goes. Will try one of the bundle and see what I get. For fun I'll let you know which one and what I thought. Kinda practice reviews for later in my cigar life.
Well had the Te-Amo aniversario Vintage. And well let just say, I have had better. The Rocky I have had, the Oliva. But that was expected. It smelled ok and lighting it was ok. It burned evenly and had a good draw. It started very mild and built as I progressed. Towards the end however it did have a very harsh taste. Only finished about half.
Well, I have had the 1959 Exodus and loved it. So with that being in the mix of your recommendations I will have to try the others. Thanks very much.
Ok now on to night 2 of the bundle. This will be a short review. My wife made it for me. I asked how she liked the aroma, and she politely responded, and I quote "EWWWWW". And that sums up the A. Turrent 2000 I had tonight. Oh what surprises are in store for me. Oh that Oliva Maduro rubosto is ever calling my name.
evryones tasts very. but I think that shop clerk,(seen futer doller signs).and thought he had a sucker. Just start with 3-4 doller sticks. One at a tim and go from there. that way you can find your tasts, with out spending to much at first. one of my favorit NC's. You cant beat for the price. Is LICENCIADOS wavell 5x50. has a raiting of 93 if i remember right. The locel smoke shop has them for like 3 bucks. Awsome price for a NC with that kind of raiting. Anyways start with 3-4 bucks a stick and go from there. Thats my two cents.
Don't like it YOU GO OUT SIDE!

Thanks Dale. I don't think he was seeing dollor signs, he just knows my spending limits a little and I believe was trying to help. But again, thanks for the advice, I will try those.
