I will be visiting Detroit in the near future and will very likely be moving there within the year. The bad news is that, well, it's Detroit (I live in Phoenix now). But the good news is that I will be short drive away from the Cubans I love!

Does anybody know of a good smoke shop in Windsor, ON?

First off, don't hate on Detroit and then ask Detroiters (or Michiganders) for Canadien CC sources. Secondly, Canadien tobacco taxes are insane, so the cigars are very expensive. Finally, where in the Detroit area are you going to be living?

kdhoffma - My my, you are a bit sensitive. Look, I like Detroit and Michigan, enough to move there. No offense was intended.

However, being the sensitive guy that you are, I have to get in one more dig - Go Illini! Sure, it's football season now, but soon enough it will be basketball season again Wink

As far as where we are going to be living, frankly, I have no idea. The move will probably occur next spring. As soon as our house sells here, we will begin looking in Detroit. My guess is we will be near Livonia where my wife's family is all from.

Here's an early welcome to Detroit. There are quite a few good cigar stores around here. Just ask, there are quite a few Detroiters on this site, we'll all be glad to steer you in the right direction, I'm sure.

That's good, Livonia is a nice city. I'd watch out for the wolverines this year in basketball, I think they'll be even better! Also, take QM's advice, there is an LCDH (which he listed) in Windsor. South eatern Michigan gets a bad rap (because of Detroit), but it is a great place to live and raise a family. There are some poor towns, some very expensive towns, and everything in between. Good luck with your move!
